Mood disorders affect one in five people in the United States. Despite the many treatments now available, many people still experience ongoing symptoms or incomplete recoveries. For over 25 years I have devoted my career in academic research to the treatment and understanding of mood disorders, including the development of new pharmacologies, studies in cognitive neuroscience and genetics, and long-term course and outcome. My private practice draws on that research background to provide scientifically-grounded treatment strategies tailored to the needs of an individual patient, provided in an unhurried, personalized treatment setting.
